This accession consists of two copies of the agreement, dated 20 September 1986, to establish Ellesmere Island National Park Reserve. One copy of the agreement was signed in the park at Tanquary Fiord; the other was signed at Resolute. The signed agreements are stored in their original official folders. Also included in this accession are 9 colour photographic prints documenting the community of Resolute, the signing of the agreement, images of Tanquary Fiord and post signing festivities at Resolute.

Records are from the Expo '86 exhibit and include the Content Master Plan for the Northwest Territories Pavilion at Expo 86; files submitted to the Executive Council; progress reports; a pavilion overview; and exit survey reports. The Content Master Plan documents the story line used at the pavilion and includes photocopies of images used, photocopies of artifacts to be displayed and the text that was to accompany these items.

The images depict the arts and crafts display and the Dene and Inuit demonstrations that took place at the 1976 Olympics. In addition, there are two copies of a brochure entitled "1976 Olympics, Government of the N.W.T. Arts and Crafts" and an introduction to the demonstration of games, dancing and drumming performed at the 1976 Montreal Olympics.
