These photographs are of people and events in a variety of Northwest Territories communities from the North Slave, South Slave and Sahtu regions, with a large number of images from the Tlicho region. Subjects include traditional camp activities, harvesting, community celebrations, and portraits.
Carseen, DorothyThis fonds consists of one VHS video tape (sound only) safety master of the "Yellowknife Album"from 1984 and one 45 rpm record from 1983 with the songs "Bombs Over Heaven" by Pat Buckna and the "Infinite Edge" by Moon Joyce and a lyric sheet autographed by Moon Joyce to Rene Fumoleau. The record was recorded to protest the Canadian government's decision to permit the testing of cruise missiles in the arctic.
Jamadam RecordsThis accession consists of the original manuscript for the unpublished play "Hornby", written by Bruce Valpy. The play, set in the Thelon River area in the winter of 1926-1927, features the characters Jack Hornby, Edgar Christian and Harold Adelard.
Valpy, BruceThis accession consists of transcripts for two interviews. One transcript is a translation of an interview with George Pellissey and forms part of the video "Drum Lake". The second transcript consists of an interview conducted by David Pokotylo with Baptiste Betsedea (interpreted by George Pellissey) which provided the data for a paper entitled "Now You See It, Now You Don't: A Contemporary Stone Tool Quarry Site in the Mackenzie Valley, Northwest Territories" (1991).

Inuvik Dene Band CouncilThe textual records are comprised of a transcript of an interview by George Simeon with George Washington Porter. The transcript was produced in 1984 when the Commissioner's office borrowed the tapes from the NWT Archives.
Simeon, GeorgeThe video, entitled "Arctic Challenge", is a promotional film produced by Dome Petroleum to outline their plans for the future development of northern offshore oil fields and the transportation of the oil to southern refineries. The video runs 7 minutes and 10 seconds.

Records consist of pamphlets and manuals produced by the Department, on such topics as flood safety, motorcycle operation and drivers' licensing. There are manuals on various topics such as records management, how to write a government manual, Canada Post in the north, and the Index to organizationial change in the government of the Northwest Territories: 1967-1987.
Records from the Motor Vehicles division include policies of the division, and files relating to newly created seatbelt legislation for the Northwest Territories, and research surrounding it.
Northwest Territories. Department of Government Services fonds (1980-1992)This accession consists of issues of "Esso North", a newsletter published by Esso Resources Canada Ltd. The newsletter contains information on employment opportunities for local residents, environmental studies, histories of the Great Bear Lake and Mackenzie Delta region, as well as updates on the companies current and planned activities for oil extraction in Norman Wells and Tuktoyaktuk.
Esso Resources Canada Ltd.The records consist of a 1982 yearbook from William McDonald Junior High in Yellowknife. It contains images of the students and teachers at the school and gives brief descriptions of school events held during the past school year.

Commission for Constitutional Development (NT)This fonds consists of 96 copy photographs and slides taken by Bill Stewart of the Mooseskin Boat Project in 1981. The photographs were selected out of 180 of Bill Stewart's photographs. The images include the different phases of the boat under construction, the people involved in the project and views of the boat's trip from the point of construction at the head of the Keele River to Fort Norman.
Stewart, BillIn 1981, Yellowknife Films and CBC North co-produced a film documenting the community in Yellowknife known as Willow Flats. Willow Flats is located on the edge of Old Town Yellowknife and is noted for its residents who maintain a pioneer lifestyle. The film was directed and produced by Alan Booth and was narrated by Patty K. Hamilton. The film includes views of the Willow Flats area, and interviews with residents discussing their views of their lifestyle. "Willow Flats" has an approximate running time of 11 minutes and 30 seconds.
Yellowknife FilmsRecords include photographs of the community of Holman. Photographs depict views of both the Anglican and Catholic Churches and a museum collection of artifacts.
Tuele, NicholasPhotographs relate to Nicholas Tuele's work at the Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre. Images were taken in his role to travel to NWT communities as Museum Advisor in the early 1980s. Images depict several communities and trips that he took including visits to Kugaaruk (Pelly Bay), Tulita (Fort Norman), Délı̨ne (Fort Franklin) and Behchokǫ̨̨̀̀̀ (Rae-Edzo). Some photos are documentation of the Tłı̨chǫ Music Project.
Tuele, NicholasThe recording contains the remembrances of Louise Corey. The majority of the recording is in one of the Dene languages possibly Chipewyan.
This accession consists of 20 black and white photographic negatives of the Parks Canada Historic Site ceremony at Fort Good Hope in August of 1981. Images include the interior and exterior of the Fort Good Hope Catholic church.

The photographs were taken, collected or purchased by the photographer for the Government of the Northwest Territories, who was employed by the Systems and Communications Division of the Department of Public Works and Services. The photographs are in slide, negative and print format and depict the following subjects: images of people, communities in the Northwest Territories, scenery, wildlife, traditional land use, hospitals, Royal Canadian Mounted Police buildings, schools, infrastructure of communities, water, air and land transportation, sports and recreation, hunting, fishing, traditional clothing, political leaders, government buildings, camps, mines, DEW line sites, events such as Arctic Winter Games, Expo '86, Canada Day, churches, airports, housing, dogsledding, fauna, arts and crafts and performing arts.
The architectural drawing is of Grollier Hall in Inuvik. It shows exterior views of the boys residence and dining hall and the girls residence and chapel. The drawing was produced for the Federal Department of Public Works and Services.

Records from the Corporate Services Division include briefing notes, files from the Inter-departmental Committee on Capital Planning, records related to the Manuals Steering Committee, procedures for appeal hearings and filing grievances, Procedure and Guideline Manual revisions, newsletters, and an employee guide. There are also records from the Records Management section of Corporate Services, including policies and procedures of records services, Records Management Tips and Bulletins, administrative and operational manuals related to records management, meeting minutes of the Public Records Committee (PRC), Recorded Information Management Committee (RIMC) and one legal opinion file related to the retention of health records.
Records from the Petroleum Products Division include correspondence regarding the transfer of responsibilities of the petroleum products division to the NWT Power Corporation.
Records from the Asset Management Division include policy and reorganization files, records of the Project Management Conferences, and a Community Maintenance Management Survey.
Also included in this fonds are pamphlets on fire prevention in public buildings, technical evaluations of facilities, a guide on engineering practices in water and sewer systems, Office Space Standards and Guidelines, and files related to the Community Transfer Initiative.
Northwest Territories. Department of Public Works and Services (1994-2017)The pencil drawings have been done on lightweight paper or thicker parchment board and are various sizes. Some have been coloured. The mainly political subjects include native employment, the wisdom of the Dene, the Government of the Northwest Territories place in the North, and the Dene's role versus the role of pipeline companies in the development of the Norman Wells pipeline.
