Item consists of a VFR [Visual Flight Rules; used for flying at lower altitutdes and by sight] map published by the Canada Centre for Mapping through the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources. It shows the area around Ft. Simpson in detail. On the south side of the map there is an apparent route marked out around Ft. Simpson.

Item consists of a topographic map of the Mackenzie Mountains, with presumable flight routes added in ink by Parsons. Routes seem to go around various points in the mountains, including around Ragged Range, and at several points horizontal lines appear to mark spots along the route. A handful of calculations along the bottom edge and on the back show the map's use.
