This file contains materials further relating to Johnston’s prospecting work into the 1950s, including materials relating to his work and claims carried out after his death. Material ranges from membership to the Alberta and Northwest Chambwer of Mines, including membership lists and annual reports, to correspondence regarding his mineral claims and shares in mining companies that were handled by his wife Dorothy after his death in 1959.
This fonds consists of 24 cm of textual material, and 2 original master sound cassettes. The text consists of financial statements for the years 1977,1980, 1984 to 1988,1990 to 1991, as well as correspondence from 1975 to 1990. There are records that document the meetings and conventions of 1979, 1980 and 1981 as well as copies of campaign literature for Gerry Weaver, Peter Kusugak, Wally Firth, and Wayne Cahill. The audio cassettea contains recordings of the nomination meeting held on June 25, 1988. Speakers at the meeting included Audrey MacLachlin, Fernand Denault, Jody Whyte, Dennis Bevington, Wayne Cahill and Gerry Weaver.

Records are comprised of transcripts of recorded stories told by Paul Vaudrak [Voudrach] to Rene Fumoleau in 1955. The stories, told in French, concern the Gwich'in equivalent of the Yamoria legend.
The textual records are comprised of copies of research, legal documents and reports related to Treaty 8, and is primarily concerned with taxation. The sound recording, entitled "The Winds of Change", was produced by CBC Calgary, most likely in the early-1970s. The documentary discussed the changes happening in the North. Northwest Territories' communities described in the piece included Tuktoyaktuk, Inuvik, Yellowknife, Fort Smith, and Hay River.
This file consists of the typed transcript of an interview with Louis Taneton of Deline (Fort Franklin) conducted in 1984 by Jane Kenny. The interview includes life stories from Louis Taneton and deals with topics such as parenting, hunting, fishing and other aspects of life during his youth.
