Order of St John [Ambulance, Northwest Territories] Council [File 1 of 2]

The file consists of correspondence from Buckingham Palace signed David Checketts; Balmoral Castle, signed Philip [Moore?] (the Private Secretary to the Queen); the Prime Minister of Canada, Pierre Trudeau; and the Minister of Agriculture Canada, Eugene Whalen, all thanking Stuart Hodgson for sending copies of the book "Decade of Progress".

Autobiography

This series consists of various resumes and lists of accomplishments by Stuart Hodgson, as well as an unfinished manuscript for an autobiography that details his life from birth until the early days of being Commissioner of the Northwest Territories and bringing the seat of government to Yellowknife. The series also includes 30 microcassette and 1 audio cassette recordings of Stuart Hodgson recounting on significant events throughout his career. Accompanying the cassettes are copies of correspondence compiled by Stuart Hodgson in 1994, to provide evidence and documentation of rationale and decisions he made as Commissioner. Correspondence is annotated with references, and additional contextual notes have been provided by Stuart Hodgson.

The file consists of copied correspondence to Minister Jean Chretien, dated November 4, 1969, regarding the development of the Indian Brotherhood. At the beginning of the file is a note to Jackie, providing contextual information about the compiled correspondence and the content of the tape. Correspondence appears to have been photocopied ca. 1994 and compiled by Stuart Hodgson to accompany his audio recordings on tape.
