The file consists of a typed transcript of an interview between Elle Andra-Warner (interviewer) and Erik Watt (interviewee). The interview largely focuses on Watt’s play entitled “Bush Pilots” and the firsthand experiences that helped inspire it. The interview also includes the topics of and Watt’s opinions about Watt’s family, learning to fly, Wop May, Jim McAvoy, Gus Weyrowitz, Weldy Phipps, Jock McMeekan, journalism in the Eastern Arctic, residential schools, and the training of nurses in the north. The interview took place on November 1, 2001, and was later transcribed by the creator.
