[This file consists of a scrapbook with a wooden cover reading "Kinsmen - Kinettes - Yellowknife". Inside are newspaper clippings, photographs of holiday celebrations, Elders' dinners, material relating to the "Northerners of Renown" quilt project, alongside signatures of Elders present at various events.. The pages have been removed from the cover.

The images primarily relate to Kinette games and events, as well as the creation of the quilt.

File consists of a 132 page annotated transcript of the Metis Heritage Association's Michif Language Conference, held February 19 and 20, 1994. This conference was facilitated by Bren Kolson, Executive Director of the Metis Heritage Association, and chaired by Father Guy Lavalee. Proceedings include discussions of personal histories of Metis elders, and aspects of Michif language, Metis culture and history. Annotations indicate the portions of the transcript that are Michif language excerpts.

One folder consisting of seven typewritten letters from Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Officer in Charge (OC) Cyril N.K. “Nordie” Kirk to correspondents in Regina, Ottawa, Edmonton, and Winnipeg depicting his life as a newcomer and as the RCMP OC in Aklavik. The recipients of the letters include RCMP Superintendent “Tiny” Martin, RCMP Inspector Doug Forrest, RCMP Inspector Fred Regan and Mary, RCMP Inspector Harry Maxted and Amanda, RCMP Inspector “Perlie” Perlson and Kay, and CNK Kirk’s mother. Also included is one typewritten letter from RCMP Inspector Doug Forrest to CNK Kirk. The letters date from September 21, 1945 through July 7, 1946.

Cyril Kirk's description in one of the letters on page 9 may cause offense because he used outdated language to describe Indigenous Peoples and peoples with mixed heritage. Pamphlet from Northern Trading Company's (NTC) Northern Transport Service. The pamphlet lists freight and passenger tariffs in 1921 between Fort McMurray, Alberta and various locations in Alberta and the Northwest Territories including: Fort Chipewyan, Fort Fitzgerald, Fort Smith, Fort Resolution, Fort Hay River, Fort Providence, Fort Simpson, Fort Wrigley, Fort Norman (Tulita), Fort Good Hope, Fort Arctic Red River (Tsiigehtchic), Fort McPherson and Fort Scenic. The pamphlet also includes a map of the routes taken by the NTC boats S.S. Northland Echo and S.S. Northland trader.
