Records include two narrated video slide shows created in 2005, and one self-published memoir created in 2015, which all include photographs taken during Dr. Ernest Jarman's time as Medical Officer for Indian Health Services at Faraud Hospital in Fort Rae (Behchoko) from July 1954 to June 1956.
The first video consists of 96 individual images and includes the following: Jarman family activities in Fort Rae, treaty payment, delivery of goods by air and by water, views of residences and buildings in Fort Rae. The second video consists of 50 individual images and includes various family activities, graveyards in Fort Rae, activities within the Faraud hospital, hunting, winter in Fort Rae. People included in the photographs in both videos include RCMP constables Ken Plumm [Kenneth Plomp], Buck Thomas and Terry Garvin, Indian Agent Kirkby, Oblate priests, Chief Jimmy Bruneau and Chief Jimmy Kia, and Naomi Murphy. Communities featured include Fort Rae (Behchoko), Yellowknife, Whatı̀ (Lac la Martre), Hay River and Fort Providence.

The text consists of a 54 page self-published memoir, "Through Dr. Jarman's eyes - going North in 1956: featuring Dr. Ernie Jarman's photos and slides of Fort Rae and surrounding area, Northwest Territories, Canada" by Dr. Ernie Jarman and Marnie Jarman Bethell, written in 2015.

Records include a map produced by the Department of National Defence for Air North West Air Command Construction Engineering Branch. It illustrates Logging Operations in Sawmill Bay, which is located on the south eastern show of Great Bear Lake. The map depicts logging zones in the near area. Eldorado Mine is also situated on the map.

The photographs depict a "traditional" travel route through northern Alberta to Fort Resolution. Some images show what might be Tlicho style teepees. Two of the photos are described as showing the RCMP and coroner taking Jim Hislop's body back to Athabasca Lodge.

The textual records consists of one letter describing the audiocassette. Most of the photographs date from between 1963 and 1978, although there is one from 1932 and several from 1993. The photographs document the Reverend Ben S. Hall's life in Hay River from 1963-1970, as well as a 1978 Boy Scouting trip to Coppermine and Pine Point. They also depict images of public events, the local "Indian village," aircraft, clergy, and Yellowknife. The audio cassette narrates the series of colour slides of the Boy Scout trip to Coppermine and Pine Point.

The photographs primarily document Yellowknife, including the town, residents, and surrounding mine sites; shipyards and docks of Waterways, Alberta; the fish camp operated by McInnes Products Corporation, Limited, at Gros Cap on Great Slave Lake; and the town, residents, and shipyards of Fort McMurray, Alberta. Other locations documented include Peace River and Fort Fitzgerald, Alberta, as well as Fort Chipewyan, Rocher River, and Fort Resolution, NWT.

The photographs were originally housed in an album. Most of the prints have no accompanying information such as dates or identifications. The album contains images of mines and mining camps, fishing, hunting, fur trading, dog sledding, the Largent family and the city of Yellowknife. Most of the photographs were likely taken in the 1940's.

The cover page of the album reads: "This album was put together by Bill Largent. Bill spent from 1920 to 1951 in the Yellowknife and Hay River area. His parents were fur traders or supplied trading posts in these areas. Bill passed away in Nanaimo in 1981, July 25th."

The original film [Trucking - Beyond the Fringe, was taken by John Denison and] William Kruining in 1961 [1964] during a trip with the Byers transport convoy on the winter road from Yellowknife going through Discovery Mine to Tundra Mine. Footage includes the making of the winter road, the Byers Tankard Curling Bonspiel, mine truck and airplane transportation, and [Cooper- Dessemer power generator] equipment delivery. Also includes views of Salmita Mine. The documentary is in colour with sound. <15 minutes.

The records document an oral traditions project carried out by Jonas Adam on behalf of the Salt River First Nation in 1996, funded via the Oral Traditions funding program. The textual records consist of two copies of a report entitled Memories To Last. Photographs relate to Nicholas Tuele's work at the Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre. Images were taken in his role to travel to NWT communities as Museum Advisor in the early 1980s. Images depict several communities and trips that he took including visits to Kugaaruk (Pelly Bay), Tulita (Fort Norman), Délı̨ne (Fort Franklin) and Behchokǫ̨̨̀̀̀ (Rae-Edzo). Some photos are documentation of the Tłı̨chǫ Music Project.

Records consist of a handwritten series of manuscripts titled "Indian Stories" by Paul Vaudrack written between 1963 and 1966. These stories and legends are mostly about Gwich'in and Slavey heroes and their wars against other peoples, including the Chipewyan and Inuvialuit. Other topics include legends about the Deluge, traditional hunting and travel.

Images show people, events and places from the following communities: Rae (Behchoko), Coppermine (Kugluktuk), Holman (Ulukhaktok), Spence Bay (Taloyoak), Gjoa Haven, Cambridge Bay, Lac La Martre (Whati), Yellowknife, Fort Simpson, and bush camps.

Records include photographs and postcards from two photo albums of the Ingraham family. These photo albums were likely compiled by Victor Ingraham's son Leonard in the early 1980s and comprise of family photographs spanning the 1920s through to 1971. Subjects include Victor and Florence Ingraham, their children Leonard and Louisa, and other friends, family and associates of Vic Ingraham, including Gerry Murphy. Mining activities in the Great Bear Lake region, Vic Ingraham's hotels in Yellowknife and other northern scenic photographs are also featured. Communities depicted in the photographs include Fort Chipewyan, Fort Smith, Cameron Bay and Eldorado mine on Great Bear Lake, and Yellowknife. Also included are a 'Souvenir Folder' and two colour hotel postcards.

Records include photographs of ice road trucking and prospecting, mainly of the North Slave region. The photos span the eight and a half years Adolf worked for Curry Construction as an ice road trucker. Afterwards, he worked for trucking companies inside of Yellowknife. He bought his Agfa superslide camera in Germany before he moved to Canada in 1953.

Records include photographs of Yellowknife taken in 1945. The images were taken by a member of the Operation Musk-ox Expedition undertaken by the Canadian Army in the winter of 1945. The images, consisting of negative and print formats, show various views of Yellowknife including Con Mine, the school on School Draw, the Wildcat Café, the Yellowknife Hotel, a De Havilland Hornet Moth airplane and a Fairchild 71 airplane on skis.

The accession relates to the Canol Project and includes air navigation maps of northern Alberta and the Northwest Territories from 1940s, river survey maps of the Mackenzie River (entire length) which include substantial details regarding depth, shoreline, cabins or structures along the river. The collection also includes engineering schematics produced by US Engineers for the US War Department depicting the Camp Canol layout, pipelines across the Mackenzie River, oil tank farms, possible routes for the pipeline, pumpstation layouts documenting the proposed flow of oil from NWT to Yukon and onto US locations, and detail drawings of specific technologies.

Records include photographs from the Sahtu region, including Deline (Fort Franklin) dating from approximately 1963-1968.

The images document Fred North's time in Inuvik (1957-1963 as principal of Sir Alexander Mackenzie School; 1965-1966 either as vice-principal of the new school or back at SAMS; 1967-1973 at one of the schools, probably as principal), Fort Simpson (1963-1965 as school principal) and Yellowknife (1973-1979 - spent one or two years as school principal in Lac la Martre / Whatı̀. Then he served as Superintendent of School Services-Operations ordering furnishings and supplies for all NWT schools). The images show schools, students, teachers, and classrooms, as well as northern events like carnivals, royal visits, and Northern Games. There are also images of various communities and the buildings within them.
