This item is a collection of several clips from the radio, recorded onto one tape. The first is a New Year’s speech by Bobby Porritt for 1966 wishing prosperity for the north. There is a slight echo to the recording. Around 3:35 it cuts to the middle of an interview of Porritt following a Council session concerning education and other matters discussed in the session. At 10:23 the interview concludes and it cuts, mid-sentence, to different recordings or radio broadcasts. Around 16:53 the sound fades out.

This item consists of a tape with two sides.

Side A consists of a recorded speech for the July 4, 1967 election outlining Porritt’s goals and desires for the new Council. He discusses seeking to bring proper services to the North and discusses the problems facing the north today. Total runtime is 10:51.

Side B consists of a recorded conversation with a woman regarding a new building and issues with proposed rent. Also asks more license plates to be sent to Hay River, as they have run out. At 4:05 the recording cuts to a practice speech by Porritt. 6:20 it cuts to a poor quality audio recording of the CBC news broadcast. Total runtime is 12:54.

This fonds consists of 391 colour slides taken by Dr. Sylvester Drabitt, 150 colour negatives that were copied from slides loaned to the NWT Archives by the donor, one videocassette and one audio cassette. Dr. Drabbit was a physician who traveled on medical trips in the eastern arctic. The images include views of people, scenery, flora, fauna, people living on the land, snow houses, medical staff and facilities, transportation methods such as dog teams and aircraft, living conditions, and images from a medical patrol on the ship, C.D. Howe. The videotape also contains scenes from the C.D. Howe and the audio cassette is entitled "Victory at Sea-Last Patrol of the C.D. Howe.
