Eskimo "Husky" Dogs. Beast of burden of the Arctic is the husky dog, long used by the Eskimo to haul sleds across the rough terrain of the regions above the Arctic Circle. A strong, fearless animal, the Husky is an indespensible companion on hunting trips. These photos of Huskies at work and play were taken in the Canadian Northwest Territories. 723.
