This fonds consists of 21 festival programs and eight promotional posters of the Folk on the Rocks Music Festival. The programs date from 1980-2001. There was no program produced for 1986. The majority of the programs are full-colour, although a few were printed on newsprint. The colour posters date from 1994-2001.

This fonds consists of minutes of two meetings, a proposal for an oral history project, a press release, a newsletter and correspondence from Father Posset O.M.I., indicating his support for the Committee.

The photographs are images of College events, classes, staff, and students. The bulk of the textual records were created by the offices of the President and Vice-President (Aurora Campus, Inuvik) and include Board records, correspondence, reports, program files, committee files, policies, strategic plans, organizational charts, job descriptions, marketing files, and newsletters. There is also a series of minutes from the Board of Governors of Thebacha College and Arctic College as well as several committees reporting to the Board.

This fonds consists of materials related to a project undertaken by the Lac La Martre Senior Room for the 1978 Explore Our Northern Heritage competition. Under the guidance of elders from the Lac La Martre Community Education Council, the students made a bush canoe and a caribou skin jacket and documented the process for the competition. The material in this fonds consists of 1 cm of textual material, 31 photographs, 1 DAT audiocassette, two original master audio cassettes, two 8mm films and 1 Betacam videocassette. The textual material and the photographs (:0005 - :0035) are part of a book created by the students entitled "Picture Book on Making a Bush Canoe." The DAT audiocassette contains a recording of Francis Moosenose interviewing Joe Zoe Fish on "How to make a Bush Canoe (:0001) and a recording of Eva Nitsiza's interview with her mother Dora on "How to Make a Fancy Caribou Jacket" (:0002). The original two audiocassettes were reformatted to DAT in 1993. The DAT audiocassette is now the archival master. There are two 8mm films and one Betacam copy of the films, which is the archival master. The films document "Making a Bush Canoe" (:0003); "Making a Fancy Caribou Jacket" (:0004).

This fonds consists of approximately 4 cm of textual material produced by the Status of Women Committee and the ad hoc committee. The materials include: minutes of meetings; correspondence; copies of department submissions; recommendations of ad hoc committee members; a copy of the Plan of Action report and the response of the Executive; and materials from the "Breaking New Ground" Conference.

This fonds consists of 10 DAT audio cassettes, 24 audio cassettes and 2 cm of textual material. The original 24 audiocassettes were copied to DAT in December 1995; the DAT audiocassettes now constitute the archival masters. The recordings are of Dene elders and other residents of the Nahanni area. The textual material includes correspondence and some transcribed material from the project. People interviewed include Elsie Marcellais, George Matou, Charlie Yohin, Harry Tesou, Joe Koniseta, Ted Trindell, Laura Vital and Philip Howard.

Records generated by the Directorate include Ministerial and Deputy Minister chronos for most of 2005-2012 and Briefing Notes for 2007-2010.

Records generated by the Investment and Economic Analysis division include files of the Senior Management Committee, both meetings and workshop retreats, an Economic Measures review of programming in the Sahtu and Gwich'in communities, as well as files of the restructuring of the Department of Resources, Wildlife and Economic Development into ITI and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources. Records also include files generated by intergovernmental committees and commissions and briefing notes drafted by the division. Records also document the division's review and disbursement of funding and including funding reviews and reports. Records also include the NWT Arts Strategic Plan, NWT Arts Logo Branding Program, Art and Fine Crafts Marketing Strategy Options, a program review of the NWT Community Future Development Corporation, operational guidelines and procedures for the Community Futures Program, reports relating to a trade show and business mission, records of the Agricultural Products Marketing Council (egg marketing), an MOU on contracting with the Gwich'in Tribal Council, an MOU on International business development, records relating to the Barren-ground caribou strategy, briefing material for the 2005 North American Fur & Fashion Exposition, GMVF Trappers Newsletters, as well as background information relating to an arts strategy and policy. Other records relate to the establishment of the Business Development and Investment Corporation (BDIC) and the history of the Business Incentive Program (BIP).

Records generated by the Policy, Legislation and Communications division consist of promotional material related to the promotion of sustainable opportunities in the energy, mines and petroleum resource industry and supporting industry, drafts of various newsletters, reports, booklets, brochures, sector profiles, website content, and fact sheets, communications plans, briefing notes, Visual Identity Guidelines for NWT Arts branding, and publicity records relating to the NWT's participation in Canada's Northern House at the 2010 Olympics. Records document regional promotional material and an overarching vision statement from the Minister. There are also records of the ITI Communications Committee, Senior Management Committee of the Department as kept by the division, 2005-2012, Executive Committee records from 2010-2012, Regional Superintendents Programs and Operations meeting records from 2006-2010, Deputy Ministers' Managing This Land Committee (2014-2015), Mackenzie Gas Project Joint Cabinet-AOC Pipeline Planning Committee (2002-2006) and Mackenzie Gas Project National Energy Board Proceedings weekly meetings from 2005. There are also records from the division that document the development of and amendments to the Tourism Act, amendment of the Territorial Parks Act and regulations, amendment of the Co-operative Associations Act, repeal of the Credit Unions Act, amendment of the Freshwater Fish Marketing Act, the administration of the Agricultural Products Marketing Act, amendment of the Animals Running at Large regulations, and negotiation of various socio-economic agreements. Policy, Legislation and Communications records also include job action contingency plans, records relating to the use of the NWT Opportunities Fund, records relating to the establishment of the Saoyú-Ɂehdacho National Historic Site, and RWED restructuring records, such as meeting minutes, presentations, draft plans and agreements, and communication tools, and decisions papers presented to the FMB and Executive Council.

Records generated by the North Slave office consist of development of an arts and crafts strategy (co-lead with the Department of Education, Culture and Employment) and a file on territorial parks usage statistics.

Records generated by the Tourism and Parks division consist of NWT Tourism correspondence, membership lists, meeting minutes and conference materials, Conversion Study for NWT Tourism's 2005/2006 Campaign Year, and Northwest Territories Tourism Branding Logo Standards and Guidelines; conference calls minutes and correspondence between Tourism headquarters and regional tourism offices; Tourism Marketing Advisory Committee meeting minutes and agendas; survey results and consumer request cards; and a tourism promotion project called the Deh Cho Travel Connection, a participatory tourism strategy to promote travel throughout the Northwest Territories as well as northern Alberta and British Columbia via highways. Records also include background research prepared for a revision of the Travel and Tourism Act, the Tourism Development Handbook, "NWT Tourism Inventory and Gap Analysis" report, "A Performance and Operations Assessment of The Northwest Territories Outfitted Sport Fishing Industry", and territorial parks usage reports. The records also relate to the Protected Area Strategy and its relationship to parks.

Records generated by the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Division (formerly the Minerals, Oil and Gas Division) include agreements, meeting materials from the Pipeline Steering Committee, Mackenzie Gas Advisory Group, Economic and Employment Development Committee, Diamond Review Committee, and NWT Geoscience Office Joint Advisory Committee, and publications focusing on oil and gas, minerals, and mining.

Records generated by the Industrial Initiatives Division include material relating to the negotiation of a socio-economic agreement for the Mackenzie Gas Project.

Records generated by the Geoscience Office relate to outreach activities like prospector training and community mapping programs.

This fonds consists of records of operation of the Science Institute of the Northwest Territories. Records include Science Advisory Board meeting minutes and annual reports, Constitution and By-Laws and Some Observations and Recommendations on the Formation, Organization and Management of the Northwest Territories Science Institute, legislation, briefing notes, minutes of several meetings of the Science Institute Board of Governors, strategic planning and review documents and report, a draft policy manual, documents on goals and objectives, a polonium and lead transfer study, beluga whale review, staff meeting notes, board membership information, discussion notes, annual reports, and correspondence regarding the cooperation and eventual merger of the Science Institute with Arctic College (later Aurora College).

This fonds consists of one reel of colour 8 mm film (original master) of what was likely the Native Women's Association of the NWT first conference, held in July 1977. The film, approximately 175 feet in length, runs ten minutes. The film was transferred to Betacam (archival master) in 1997.

This fonds consists of 2 cm of textual material relating to the operation of Alternatives North. Included in the textual material are a statement of principles, minutes, incoming and outgoing correspondence, members lists and pamphlets and flyers from Alternatives North. The records are dated from April to October 1977.

This fonds consists of 84 cm of textual records, approximately 1600 photographs, 55 audiocassettes, 1 poster and 1 videocassette. The material is dated from 1977-1995 and relates to the administration and functions of the Northwest Territories Council for Disabled Persons. The textual records, 1977 to 1991, include: monthly reports of the Executive Director, President, and various committees within the Council; minutes; records of clients throughout the Northwest Territories; the Ability column; and files from special projects and functions such as the Celebrity Auction, Bike-A-Thon, Handi-van, workshops and conferences. Some files relate to the Inuvik Council for the Disabled, and the communities of Pine Point and Hay River. The photographs date between 1986-1995 and contain images of: Kids on the Block (KOB) puppet performance tours by Barb Barnet and Barb Bond to Gjoa Haven, Cambridge Bay, and Coppermine; Celebrity Auction; National Access Awareness Week (NAAW) events; Bike-a-thons; posters; the Council's museum display for the International Year of Disabled Persons (IYDP); Run For Light (1986); conferences; and Rick Hansen's visit to Yellowknife. The sound cassettes, 1986-1991, feature recordings from conferences, an aldermanic candidates forum, and speakers on topics such as respite care, services in the north, advocacy and independent living centres, and accessibility. A few of the recordings are in Inuktitut. The accession also contains one 8 mm video tape of approximately 11 minutes of Kids on the Block puppet performances, and one poster published by the Northwest Territories Council for the Disabled for the International Year of Disabled Persons (1981).

This fonds consists of two audio reels (archival masters) and one audio cassette (original master) containing the recording entitled "Hooked on the North." The recordings were compiled from oral history tapes of Marjorie Nichol (N-1992-019) and Dennis Williams (N-1992-018). These excerpts are interspersed with narration and music.

This fonds consists of two identical posters titled "Our Land, Our Life", and 2 cm of textual material. The material is made up of two copies of the "Dene Declaration: Statement of Rights" on broadsides, and one "Public Notice" from the Chiefs in Council. There is also one illustrated calendar produced by the Dene Nation for the 12-month period from May 1979 to April 1980. Included are chronologies of important events in the history of the Dene, descriptions of Dene culture and images of Dene people.

This fonds consists of one DAT audio cassette and one sound cassette. The DAT is approximately 60 minutes in length and is of Inuit and Dene raven legends retold by Drama Arctic. The recording, produced by CFYK in Yellowknife, features the voices of Kathleen Johnson, Mick Mallon and Louis Blondin.

This fonds consists of 1.3 m of textual records from the Legal Services Board and its regional legal services committees and contractors.

Records from the Board of Directors include minutes, agendas and meeting materials from meetings of the Board.

Records from the NWT Native Courtworkers’ Association/Mackenzie Court Workers’ Services include minutes and other materials from annual general meetings, executive committee meetings, and board of directors meetings, as well as reports on reviews of the association. Also included are some statistics and reports on legal services applications received, and legal services provided.

Records from the Arctic Public Legal Education and Information Society include annual reports and financial statements.

This fonds consists of approximately 1.32 meters of textual material from the Department of Public Works.

The material from the Policy and Planning Division includes material related to the departmental Establishment Policy and Northern Preference Policy. In addition, there are files related to ministerial tours of the communities, senior management meetings, Minister's speeches, energy policy, operations divisional meetings, annual reports to the Commissioner, devolution framework documents, and transfer of responsibility (i.e. health services) options. The bulk of the material is dated between 1975-1991 and consists of minutes and agendas from Director's Meetings, Manager's Meetings, Staff Meetings, Systems and Computer Services Review Meetings, Micro Computer Users Group Meetings, Priorities and Planning Committee reports, organization charts from the department and reports on petroleum products and the liquor commission.

The material from the Energy Management Division relates to energy conservation and includes a draft program outline and energy audit information.

This fonds consists of 24 cm of textual material, and 2 original master sound cassettes. The text consists of financial statements for the years 1977,1980, 1984 to 1988,1990 to 1991, as well as correspondence from 1975 to 1990. There are records that document the meetings and conventions of 1979, 1980 and 1981 as well as copies of campaign literature for Gerry Weaver, Peter Kusugak, Wally Firth, and Wayne Cahill. The audio cassettea contains recordings of the nomination meeting held on June 25, 1988. Speakers at the meeting included Audrey MacLachlin, Fernand Denault, Jody Whyte, Dennis Bevington, Wayne Cahill and Gerry Weaver.
