This fonds consists of three letters written by Poole Field to Jack La Flair and one letter written to a member of the Geological Survey of Canada. The letters relate stories of the customs and beliefs of the Mountain Dene and Field's trips in the Nahanni region.
Field, PooleThis fonds consists of 2.5 cm of textual material. The material is comprised of a photocopy of a journal compiled by Kenneth McIntyre Dewar. The journal contains photographs, magazine articles, maps and entries from a journal. The document records the expedition of Kenneth Dewar, Harold Wilson, J.B. Muirhead and J. Thomson. The expedition was a prospecting journey from Great Slave Lake to Chesterfield Inlet via the Hanbury and Thelon Rivers. It includes Mr. Dewar's account of finding the remains of John Hornby, Edgar Christian and Harold Adlard.

Wood, Raymond (family)This fonds consists of 3 cm of textual material and one photo album containing 626 photographs of Irene Spry's (at that time Irene Biss) trip through the western Northwest Territories and the Yukon Territory. The bulk of the photographs show scenery in the various locations that she visited. The textual material consists of two notebook diaries that contain many descriptions of the people she met and the places she visited.
Spry, IreneThis fonds consists of three 16 mm films, sound recordings which are narrations for two of the films, 69 photographs and some correspondence. The films are about the following subjects: the topography, flora and fauna of the Thelon River area, Colville Lake and Victoria Island. The narration for the Colville Lake and Victoria Island films is on 4 audio cassettes, which were reformatted to DAT audio cassette in 1993. The 69 colour slides (a few are duplicates) document locations including Great Bear Lake, Colville Lake, Victoria Island and the Thelon Refuge. There are also images of Duncan Pryde, Father Bern Will Brown, and George Rysgaard. The accession also contains correspondence from Father Brown (Bern Will Brown) to George Rysgaard and correspondence with Dr. Breckenridge, concerning the 1970 trip to the Thelon River area. The correspondence includes lists of mammals and birds observed, and plant specimens collected.
Rysgaard, GeorgeThis fonds consists of a copy of a typed version of the diary of Otto Lahser. The diary describes the journey taken in 1898 and 1899 down the Athabasca and Slave Rivers to Great Slave Lake and then down the Mackenzie River to the Peel River aboard the boat "Enterprise." The diary includes details on weather, people they encountered and their attempts to locate gold.
Lahser, OttoThis fonds consists of 134 photographs depicting images of Fort Resolution, Great Bear Lake, Fort Rae, Yellowknife and the Negus Mine site. In addition there are photocopies of a standard employee's contract at Yellowknife Gold Mines, Ltd., dated 1934; a list of supplies required to sustain 2 men for 2 months; 2 plane tickets from Edmonton to Yellowknife dated 1936 and from Yellowknife to Edmonton dated 1937; and a 19-page diary written by Mr. Hagen during his trip to Bear Lake. There is also a copy of a release form in which Mr. Hagen released Admiral Yellowknife Mines, Ltd. Bear Exploration and Radium Ltd, Burwash Yellowknife Mines, Ltd. and Atlas Yellowknife Mines Ltd from his stakers interest in the group of claims in the Yellowknife area.
Hagen, OleThis fonds consists of 391 colour slides taken by Dr. Sylvester Drabitt, 150 colour negatives that were copied from slides loaned to the NWT Archives by the donor, one videocassette and one audio cassette. Dr. Drabbit was a physician who traveled on medical trips in the eastern arctic. The images include views of people, scenery, flora, fauna, people living on the land, snow houses, medical staff and facilities, transportation methods such as dog teams and aircraft, living conditions, and images from a medical patrol on the ship, C.D. Howe. The videotape also contains scenes from the C.D. Howe and the audio cassette is entitled "Victory at Sea-Last Patrol of the C.D. Howe.
Drabitt, SylvesterThis fonds consists of 291 photographs and 6.2 cm of textual material. There are images of Aklavik and the surrounding area, as well as images that document Mary Saich's trip to Tuktoyaktuk. In addition, there is one scrapbook compiled by Mary Saich; one notebook that includes historical and geographical notes on the Northwest Territories, her curriculum ideas and a manuscript entitled "A Year in Canada's North" which includes copies/originals of articles on the north and copies/originals of Mary Saich's correspondence with her parents.
