The earlier material [1953-1959] deals with the establishment of a federal school at Igloolik and includes information about the curriculum which was being taught at the Catholic mission school in Igloolik in 1954. The later material [1960-1970] deals with the operation of the school, primarily relating to physical facilities but also including correspondence relating to a petition by the Igloolik community council to have high school classes taught in the settlement.
