Commander of the patrol was Constable Dempster, the man in the centre is the Reverend Charles Johnson a missionary who accompanied the patrol on the journey to Dawson City. ["Photos 0114-0157 were taken at the RCMP Ball commemorating 100 years of the RCMP. The Ball was held at the Elk's Hall in Yellowknife in 1973. Commissioner of the NWT, Stuart Hodgson had the Hall converted into a replica of an old RCMP fort and he called it Fort Michener in honour of the Governor General of Canada, Roland Michener, who attended the Ball. The NWT Commissioners Ball was held the Friday night and the RCMP ball was held on the Saturday night."]
