The map, (National Topographic System Sheet 106 M) depicts Fort McPherson, and is annotated with the locations where the Dawson Patrol (Fitzgerald, Scarter, Taylor, Kinney) died in 1911 and the location where Albert Johnson, the Mad Trapper, killed RCMP Constable E. Millen in 1932.

Both show the various lots of Commissioner's Land in the area between Kam Lake and Frame Lake in Yellowknife, as well as showing the Correctional Institute area.]
