This fonds consists of photographs documenting commemorative plaques at Port Radium and Fort McPherson, a visitors book from the Parks Canada cabin at Virginia Falls (Nahanni National Park), and photographs documenting the monument to Sir John and Sir James Ross at Taloyoak, Nunavut.

The fonds additionally includes materials relating to a Historical Resources Inventory of the Nahanni region. Parks Canada commissioned W. D. Addison and Associates in a series of four contracts to document Nahanni history. During the summers of 1974 to 1977, oral history interviews were conducted with 43 people associated with the Nahanni Park region. Several of the interviews were published in an internal Parks Canada document, "Manuscript Report Series No. 196: Nahanni National Park Historical Resources Inventory."

This accession consists of the visitors book from the Parks Canada cabin located at Virginia Falls, Nahanni National Park. The book contains the observations of people who visited the park between 1975 and 1982.

This accession consists of two photographic prints documenting the unveiling of the monument to Sir John and Sir James Ross. Item :0001 shows (left) Douglas Harper, Director of Parks Canada; (right) Dr. J.E. Rea, Historic Sites and Monuments Board, and item shows the monument covered by Canadian Flag prior to the unveiling.

The black and white images document a ceremony to erect a plaque at Port Radium on July 16, 1978 commemorating the uranium industry. The colour print depicts the unveiling of a plaque erected at Fort McPherson on July 7, 1977. Included in the images are Chief Johnny Kay [Kyikavichik], Dr. Henry Cook, R.P. Malis of Parks Canada, Father G. Duchaussois and Mr. Chuck Vaydik of the Northwest Territories Chamber of Mines.
