The binder includes job descriptions, information sheets, camp proposal, maps, correspondence with the Lutselk'e Band, service contracts, activities, schedules, activities sheets and forms, written reports, video outline, posters from previous years, background reference information, media contacts and letters, and a final report.

          The accession consists of a binder on Fireline Organization created by the Northwest Lands and Forest Service, revised in 1975, and presumably also used by the Northwest Territories Department of Renewable Resources once responsibility for forestry was transferred from the Federal government in 1987.

          This accession consists of records likely created during a forest inventory of the Slave River Valley conducted while NWT forests were managed by the federal Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development, Northwest Lands and Forest Service. The records include reports, maps showing timber blocks and stands and woodlots, lists of board feet per acre and tree types in stands, and photographs of trees. The maps appear to be based on the 1958 Forest Inventory of the Lower Slave.

          The fonds consists of records created by the federal Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development, Lands and Forest Service prior to responsibility for forests being transferred to the territorial government in 1987.

          The records include a forest inventory of the Slave River Valley, a binder on Fireline Organization, and fire prevention posters featuring the mascot Tuktu.

          This accession consists of records relating to forest management in the Northwest Territories. The records include records of the NWT Forest Industry Conferences and Workshops (2005-2006) and records on timber supply, particularly in the Liard and Nahanni Butte region. The accession also contains some records of Federal/Provincial/Territorial work on timber supply.

          This accession consists of records from the Directorate of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, including Minister's Chronos (correspondence) from January 2007-December 2008 and March 2009-December 2010, Deputy Minister's Chronos from January-December 2007 and January 2009-December 2010, Deputy Minister's personal and confidential Chronos from June 2010-April 2011, and briefing material from 2007 and 2009-2011.

          Records date from 2002-2007 and consist of workshop meeting materials of the Energy Coordinating Committee, terms of reference of the Gwich'in Forest Management Steering Committee, as well as a related file of correspondence and briefing notes kept by Assistant Deputy Minister Bob Bailey regarding the forest management component of the Gwich'in Land Claim agreements.

          Records from the Directorate include ministerial and deputy minister chronos, briefing materials, meeting materials of the Senior Management Committee, Managing This Land Strategic Initiative Committee, Deputy Ministers' Land Use Steering Committee, Joint Climate Change Committee, Energy Coordinating Committee, Deputy Minister's Subcommittee on Science, Arctic Energy Alliance, as well as terms of reference of the Gwich'in Forest Management Steering Committee and correspondence and briefing notes regarding the forest management component of the Gwich'in Land Claim agreement. Records also include meeting materials of the Giant Mine Oversight Committee and the Informatics Steering Committee, land and water framework working groups, meeting materials regarding the restructuring of ENR's predecessor, the Department of Resources, Wildlife and Economic Development, into ENR, material relating to the Territorial response to the Dehcho Land Use Plan, and workshop materials for the Development of a Land Use Framework workshop and a Water Strategy workshop.           Records from the Corporate Management division's Policy, Legislation and Communications unit (known for a time as the Policy and Strategic Planning division) include policy committee meeting materials, Senior Management Committee materials, Deputy Ministers Land Use Steering Committee materials, Natural Resources Conservation Trust Fund material, plans for organizational change in the early days of ENR, protocols documenting shared resources with the Department of Industry, Tourism and Investment, and records relating to enforcement of legislation, land use and protected areas, caribou management, the Mackenzie Gas Project, forest management, and department-wide training. Other records relate to the revision of the Wildlife Act, creation of the Species at Risk Act, and amendment of the Forest Management regulations, including meeting materials, reports, drafts, discussion papers, and records relating to public consultations. Records also include preliminary screening of land use permits, land lease applications, and water licence applications that were reviewed by the department and its predecessor, the Department of Resources, Wildlife and Economic Development, as mandated by the Mackenzie Valley Resource Management Act (MVRMA). Records also include IRMA (Interim Resource Management Assistance) files, as well as Interim Measures Agreement files (IMA) as managed by DIAND and copied to RWED, who later became the lead on such files after devolution in 2014.           This accession consists of records relating to the management of forests in the Northwest Territories. The records include regional year-end reports (1999), Fire Debriefing Meeting Summary Report and Action Items (2003), Taking Stock and Shaping Future Direction workshop records, records relating to the negotiation of forest management agreements, fire effects camps messaging and reports, Public Education Program draft plan and planning material, a 1952 fire prevention proclamation, excerpts from the RWED operations manual, A Guide to Forest Resource Licences and Permits For the Northwest Territories, and a draft pamphlet about the Forest Management Division.

          The accession consists of records relating to the South Slave Region of the Department of Resources, Wildlife, and Economic Development, including departmental organization, fire and forest management, and interaction with the Lutsel K'e Dene Band's Wildlife, Lands and Environment Committee. The records include correspondence, meeting materials, site assessment forms, organizational charts, and reports, plans, and photographs of the 1997 Fort Providence Prescribed Burn project.

          The records relate to the development of Forest Fire Management legislation and include a public discussion paper and drafts, correspondence, planning notes, Forest Fire Suppression Reserve Fund Act drafts, and reference material.

          Records date from 1985-1996 and include NWT annual forest fire operations reports, reports on recommendations pertaining to fire management on the winter and forested ranges of the barren-ground, Beverly and Qamanirjuaq herds of caribou, as well as an evaluation and summary of the transfer of fire and forest management from the Department of Indian and Northern Affairs to the GNWT. The majority of the files consist of project reports that were prepared by Peat Marwick Stevenson and Kellog for the GNWT related to forest and fire management practices and policies.

          Records date from 1983-1996 and primarily consist of project report files related to a variety of departmental programs and initiatives, in particular the forest fire management program. There are also records related to a departmental operational review, preparation for division of the NWT, strategic planning documents, policy development, and files created by departmental committees and working groups that involved representatives from the department such as Deputy Minister Land Use Planning Committee, Director's Meetings, Demonstration Project Review Committee, Environmental Assessment Working Group, Inuvialuit Environmental Review Board and the Polar Commission. There are also operations manuals for Fire Operations, Enforcement, Conservation Education, Resource Development, Fishery Management, Forestry Management, Pollution Control and Wildlife Management Divisions. The remaining records concern specific projects and initiatives that involved the Department. These records relate to the Bent Horn project, Kiggavik Uranium Mine, Colomac (Neptune) Mine, Upper Snare Hydro, Aklavik Fur Tannery Feasibility Study, Harvester Assistance Program and Community Freezer surveys.
