        Records consist of department specific legislation and regulation files, including the development of the Business Development and Investment Corporation Act, and the amendments to the Wildlife Act and regulations. Also included in the records are agreements, including an Environmental Agreement with DeBeers Canada regarding the Snap Lake Diamond Project, as well as a Cooperation Agreement with the federal Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development respecting the Giant Mine Remediation Project.

        Records date from 1983-2001 and include a communication plan for the department, as well as communications plans for various strategies related to tourism, parks and protected areas. Records also consist of framework documents and discussion papers concerning the amendments to the Environmental Protection Act and Wildlife Conservation Act.

        Records are dated from 1992-1997, and the majority of the files relate to the EDA (Economic Development Agreement) and include work plans, rules and consultation plans for the arts and crafts, harvesting, community development, fishery and cultural industries streams of the EDA Agreement. The remaining records include files from a Deputy Ministers' meeting and a Dogrib Workshop that was hosted by the department.
